On September 12th, Chuosijia Hydroelectric Power Station, operated by Sichuan Power Generation Co., LTD under China Energy, achieved a breakthrough in the excavation of the water diversion tunnel, reaching a total length of 17,000 meters. With a cumulative completion of 17,018.9 meters, this achievement has laid a solid foundation for the full connection of the water diversion tunnel.

The Chuosijia Hydroelectric Power Station is located in the territory of Rangtang County and Jinchuan County in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the third-level hydroelectric power station in the "One Reservoir, Four Levels" hydropower development plan on the main stem of the Chuosijia River (from Zengkesi Temple to Maiska). The designed installed capacity is 392,000 kilowatts. The water diversion tunnel is arranged in the left bank mountain of the Chuosijia River, with a total length of 21.18 kilometers. The tunnel section is horseshoe-shaped and circular, with a diameter of 8.9 meters.
Since the excavation of the water diversion tunnel, the Company has used TRT technology to conduct advanced geological detection of each excavation face. During the process, it promptly provided feedback on changes in surrounding rock conditions, conducted real-time electromagnetic and geological radar re-measurement, made reasonable adjustments to construction methods and temporary support measures, closely monitored the process connections, standardized operations involving explosives, and rigorously controlled construction quality. This ensured the safe, high-quality, and efficient progress of the excavation of the Chuosijia Hydroelectric Power Station water diversion tunnel.
